Bike Fitting

Our approach to bike fit is an amalgam of our education in kinesiology and functional biomechanics, what we have learned from some of the best fitters in the country and our experience performing postural assessments and bike fits on hundreds of athletes around the country. We combine the best practices from the many systems and teachers we have worked with, including:

We treat everyone as an individual and educate them on how to optimize performance and prevent over-use injury. By taking your goals and your unique biomechanics into account, we're able to create the greatest level of comfort and performance possible.

  • On/off bike static/dynamic posture analysis
  • Video, photo & computer fit analysis
  • Proper cleat positioning & alignment
  • Pedaling analysis & instruction
  • Info how to integrate/adjust the fit
  • 1 free, in-person, post-fit adjustment

Biomechanical Analysis 

If you are experiencing an ache, pain or nagging injury that won’t go away, then you benefit from a professional posture and movement assessment. We will help determine whether what is bothering you is simple and correctable overuse injury pattern or if you need to seek further medical advice. As a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist I can easily identify the more common postural distortion patterns and create a corrective exercise program to help get you to get you back on the performance track.

Common overuse injuries that often result from endurance athletics and every day life include but aren’t limited to the following:

  • IT Band Syndrome
  • Piriformis Syndrome
  • Achilles Tendonitis
  • Hamstrings Tendonitis
  • Low back, knee or ankle pain

Sometimes these can be corrected simply by through rest. If not, then you may need to incorporate the right types of exercises and flexibility training to correct your issue. Other times, a change in your bike fit is required to allow your anatomical structures to function properly and bring the body back into balance. Most of the time, a combination of the two approaches is the most effective solution.
