Don’t just have lists, have lists of lists.
While lists can become daunting, always remember that the list is a servant of a master - and what is the master to this list? A master list! So create a master task or project list with sequential tasks planned and goals noted, and a mini-list under each task so that you always know where you want to go, and where you are in the moment.
You can accomplish this with pen and paper, or through a software program. Whatever. Just get organized, and figure out what you need to do to accomplish each task, and keep track of it.
